2. Steel grades produced carbon steel, including molybdenum steel (the latter without cutting position)
3. Year of commissioning – 1970, been in use until the end of December 2010.
4. Main parameters of the factory:
– 26 different sizes of pipes, from 52 mm to 159 mm
– pipes wall thickness is from 4 to 16 mm (there is a complete set of roller blocks for these sizes)
The plant is consisting of (in technological succession):
1. Guillotine for cutting the workpieces
2. 10 m diameter Carousel Gas Heating Furnace up to 1200C degrees
3. Manipulator for the heated workpiece
4. Centring machine
5. Pipe primary forming unit
6. Pipe calibrating unit
7. Pipes Cutting Unit – it cuts the pipes at a certain length
8. Pipe Straightener
9. Facing and Chamfering unit
10. Ultrasonic and Eddy Cu pipe wall thickness and flaw testing unit
11. Sorting out and Packing
All the units are being operated by automatic loaders (manipulators) and conveyors.
